Grief Matters
About this Groundfloor Gathering
Grief is part of being human.
We grieve people we love. But we can also grieve relationships, health, intimacy, trust, identities, dreams, expected futures, and versions of our lives that are no longer available to us.
Sometimes something mattered deeply—and then something changed.
Grief Matters is a facilitated evening for making room for those experiences.
This is not about fixing grief, comparing losses, finding the silver lining, or rushing toward “moving on.” You don’t need to arrive with an answer, a lesson, or even a clear name for what you’re grieving.
Through private reflection, thoughtful questions, conversation, and the experience of being witnessed by another human being, we’ll explore:
• What has changed or been lost that matters to me?
• How is grief showing up in my life?
• What is here for me now?
There will be opportunities to share, but sharing is always optional. You’re welcome to participate at the depth that feels right for you.
Grief can coexist with love, anger, relief, longing, laughter, connection, desire—even pleasure.
You don’t need to be finished grieving.
You don’t need to know what’s next.
We’re simply making room for what’s here.

Please come sober and leave sober.
