About this Groundfloor Gathering
Hey there, hike club! Ready for a stunning coastal adventure in the Marin Headlands? Join us for a moderate challenge as we summit Hill 88, where we’ll take in breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean, the Golden Gate Bridge, San Francisco, and Mount Tamalpais. This loop trail offers a mix of rugged hills, historic military sites, and open ridgelines.
We’ll set off at 10:00 AM from the Rodeo Beach parking lot, hiking approximately 5.5 miles roundtrip with an elevation gain of 1,200 feet. The route follows the Coastal Trail before turning onto the Wolf Ridge Trail, which leads to the summit at 1,053 feet. From there, we’ll descend via the Miwok Trail, completing a full loop back to Rodeo Beach. Expect a steady but well-graded climb, with a mix of fire roads and single-track trails.
After the hike, we may grab lunch in Sausalito.
This is a dog-friendly hike. Woof!
