Wine Club: Sauvy B & Beyond
About this Groundfloor Gathering
Move over, rosé—Sauvignon Blanc is having a moment, and we're here for it.
For August, we're shining a spotlight on one of the world's most expressive (and sometimes misunderstood) grape varieties. Your mission: bring a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc! Whether it's a zippy New Zealand classic, a mineral-driven Sancerre, a California Fumé Blanc, or a hidden gem from Chile or South Africa, let's see just how many personalities this grape can have.
We'll kick off the evening with a splash of wine education, exploring why Sauvignon Blanc tastes the way it does, how climate shapes its flavors, and why it's suddenly all over social media. And yes... we'll put the viral frozen jalapeño pairing to the test and decide for ourselves if the internet got it right. 🌶️🍷
As always, we'll enjoy a delicious spread of bites, hear the stories behind everyone's bottle selections*, and spend the evening sipping, learning, and laughing together. Who knows—you may just discover your new favorite white wine.
Cheers to crisp pours, curious palates, and a little Sauvy B magic! 🥂
* Nervous about presenting? Don’t be! It’s low pressure and we truly want to get to know you and your contribution. Just a quick chat about why you picked your bottle (1-2 mins max). Pro tip: if you’re feeling shy about describing your wine, the Vivino app can save the day if you're winging it!
