CreativeMornings is a free monthly breakfast lecture series. We offer free coffee, breakfast, and an inspiring talk highlighting an artist, maker, entrepreneur or creative individual in our community! We’re part of a global network found in over 240 cities worldwide, and are entirely volunteer-run and supported by local businesses in Oakland. About CreativeMornings/Oakland To say we have pride about our Town is an understatement. You have either been here, or you have the desire to be here. But Oakland does not mince messages: to belong here is to make a promise to community.  Oakland is built on community. Creativity and collaboration are what brought the Free Breakfasts to the children of West Oakland, the endurance to the Occupiers, and the persistence to the Resistance. We understand that to live a vibrant and inclusive life requires a diversity of beliefs and backgrounds. We understand that to breathe creativity into the minds and souls of our neighbors it requires the joy and respect for others. Community is not a one way street. Thankfully, we love to share it. At CreativeMornings Oakland, we seek to elevate the voices of our community: the passionate, the freedom fighters, the change makers, the resilient, the honest, and the leaders—without whom we’d have no inspiration, for our community is our future.
