About this Groundfloor Gathering
Celebrate freedom, creativity, and community with Groundfloor at Hella Juneteenth, a vibrant festival honoring Black history and culture.
What started in 2020 as a grassroots movement by Oakland’s own Hella Creative has grown into a national celebration, playing a key role in the recognition of Juneteenth as a federal holiday. Now in its second year at the Oakland Museum of California (OMCA), this community-centered event continues to uplift the brilliance, resilience, and creativity of Black communities—past, present, and future.
Come out and enjoy powerful performances, art, food, and more, all produced by Hella Creative in partnership with Sanctuary for Sustainable Artistry, Inc., and led by an inspiring team: Brian Watson, Miles Dotson, Selena Davant, and Ryan Royster.
🎟 Tickets start at $20 – grab yours here: https://museumca.org/event/hella-juneteenth-2025/
