Come join me for a heart opening exploration for the courageous souls willing to see and be seen.
Explore your breath and humanness through the eyes of another.
Time slows down
Life becomes juicer
Feeling becomes deeper
Senses become heightened—in the most beautiful way.
I’ll have a beautiful array of tea and fruits to enjoy. Feel free to bring snacks to share.
The first 20 min will allow for the energy to settle, sip on some tea, and introduce ourselves. Then we’ll get in pairs and gently begin our workshop. The workshop portion will end at 8pm and we’ll snack and share until we feel complete. Wear comfortable clothing and bring a journal.

Bringing people together is at the heart of Groundfloor, and there are few better ways to do that than through cuisine. Whether simple or extraordinary, food creates shared experiences and lasting memories! We can't wait to see your smiling face and whatever you buy, cook, bake, or improvise.
While advance planning is grand, last minute registrations are also most welcome.
Don’t forget to bring containers for leftovers so you can enjoy a great meal or two in the coming days.

The Groundfloor Speaker Series is honored to host Joel Kimmel, world-class coach, acclaimed author, combat veteran, and powerhouse in the art of language and leadership. He has guided everyone from Fortune 500 execs to world leaders and changemakers. He will shift how you see work, life, and what is truly possible. When Joel speaks, people listen. We’re unbelievably lucky to have him. Don’t miss the chance to be in the room.
About the Workshop
AI is changing how we think, decide, and create. What most people miss is that it is also changing how we see ourselves. This interactive workshop helps you step out of autopilot and become the designer of your relationship with AI. Through guided reflection and conversation, you will look at how AI is already shaping your work, choices, and sense of possibility. You will explore what it gives you, what it costs, and what only you can bring that no machine can replace.
We will use simple distinctions, such as being versus doing and searching versus discovering, to help you stay grounded, clear, and human in a rapidly changing world.
This is not a demo. It is a conversation about how to use AI without losing yourself in it.
About Joel
Joel Kimmel is the author of SELF: The Vast World Behind Your Words and a leading voice in the field of ontology—the study of Being and how language shapes our reality. A combat veteran, world-class athlete, and recipient of the Presidential Call to Service Award, Joel brings profound insight to his work, having quite literally faced death twice and returned with a deeper understanding of life’s unfolding.
With decades of experience coaching everyone from executives to inner-city youth, Joel’s work blends communication, identity, and leadership. His clients include Shell Oil, US Bank, Charles Schwab Foundation, and the US Department of Training and Development. Whether guiding personal transformation or designing organizational strategy, Joel’s promise is simple: more awareness, more creativity, and more authentic connection—with yourself and others.

Annual GF Backpacking Weekend!
Our first trip was a success, so we’re heading out again!
Dane (years leading Boy Scout trips) and Heather (camping pro who loves sleeping under the stars) will guide the group and make it easy. We’ll start with a virtual or in-person info session to go over details and help everyone get set up. Need gear? We can help with that too.
This is a beginner-friendly, easy backpack and open to all levels.
Cost: We’ll split campsite + food. Last trip was about $75/person and will likely be less this time.
Come spend a weekend outside with us 🌲
Trip: Henry W. Coe State Park - Morgan Hill (South East Bay)
