Beat Procrastination and Creative Blocks

You know that state of mind where you forget about time and space and become completely focused on whatever you’re working on? That's called the FLOW, and it feels great but can be difficult to achieve consistently on your own. Through the power of mono-tasking, rituals, body doubling, and power breaks, we’ll reach the FLOW together, and you’ll be surprised by what you’ll have gotten done at the end of the day. So how does it work? We’ll have a series of 50-minute bursts of focused, mono-tasking work. Every burst will be separated by quick 10-minute breaks. After 2 bursts, we’ll have a longer break, where we’ll share a meal (remember to bring your own lunch) and socialize before diving into the last two bursts. Switching off notifications, focusing on a single task at a time, being surrounded by people doing the same, and not keeping track of time will help you reach the FLOW. Essentially, getting days' worth of work done in just four hours. Let's get those procrastinated tasks done and beat creative blocks TOGETHER! Here is what our session will look like: 10:30 - 10:45: introduction 10:45 - 11:35: first rush 11:35 - 11:45: short break 11:45 - 12:35: second rush 12:35 - 01:05: lunch break 01:05 - 01:55: third rush 01:55 - 02:05: short break 02:05 - 02:55: last rush 02:55 - 03:10: outro You are welcome to join for just one rush or stay for the whole session; we just ask you to enter or leave the room only during breaks to prevent distraction for the other participants.

Open "THAT" Bottle

For the wines you’re saving… but shouldn’t be.

You know that bottle. The one you’ve been saving for “someday.” The one with a story. The one you bring out when the people are right and the moment matters.

This event is for opening that bottle—on a Thursday, because life’s too short to save the good stuff for later.

Bonus points if your wine is from California, the state we love, maybe something small production, soulful, and never boring.

We will expect the story behind the wine: - who made it, where it came from, and why you've brought it.

A nudge to open it now, not someday.

WildFiya’s PopUp PlayDate

Playdates aren’t just for kids anymore. Adding a little play to the typical week, PopUp PlayDate is an event that helps Black and brown womxn break up the routine of “adulting” responsibilities with fun and fellowship. This month - meet us at GroundFloor Oakland.

Relieve stress and connect with your inner child through a rotating variety of games, crafts, and activities. PopUp PlayDate is a sacred space for us to let our hair down and feel good through creativity, self-discovery, and fun. While you never know what each PlayDate holds, you know it's going to activate your joy.

Who this is for:

Black womxn and womxn of color who: are stressed because life is lifin’, crave more connection with other women of color, feel stuck in a rut and need some refreshing energy, or feel their inner child calling out for attention and healing.

What to expect:

Fun. Laughter. Connection. Every PopUp PlayDate is its own special treat. The games and activities will vary from date to date and range from nostalgic and classic to new favorites or original creations. There is almost always a group activity, but don’t worry, no one is ever forced to participate. Just remember, part of the fun is showing up curious for the adventure knowing you’ll get to meet and play with other Black women in a joyful, creative, and collaborative space.

Why we do this:

Because Black and brown womxn continuously face unrealistic expectations and social pressure on top of historical stressors– all of which detrimentally affect our mental and physical well being. Often expected to be strong and meet everyone’s needs first, Black women hardly get the chance to be carefree, playful, and nurture themselves.

Awakening the Senses: A Hands-On Ayurveda Experience

Join Self-Care Club for an immersive exploration of practice and science of Ayurveda. This introductory session will be an interoceptive journey through our senses, referred to as "gunas" or qualities in Ayurveda. Led by nationally certified Ayurveda practitioner, Luke Karamol, we will explore how sensing qualities such as hot versus cold and heavy versus light can serve as a gateway to listening to the innate wisdom of our bodies. You will learn daily practices that nourish your senses of sight, smell, sound, touch, and taste and will leave with a deeper understanding of how this traditional medicine can be integrated into daily life for improved health and wellbeing.   About your instructor: LUKE KARAMOL is a NAMA-AD, health coach, orthopedic bodyworker, movement educator, and yoga teacher. His healing journey began over 25 years ago, inspired by the concept of food as medicine while working in a small organic café in Chicago. Since then, Luke's practice, The Wisdom Body, has been rooted in Ayurvedic principles, which highlight the interdependence of the body, mind, and emotions in all expressions of health and imbalance. In his Oakland-based private practice, he offers individualized bodywork and Ayurvedic consultations, integrating exercise, health, and lifestyle guidance.

What we think about when we think about painting: Pure creativity for creativity’s sake.

This is a 90-minute seminar on painting, color, light, and joy.

-- you don't need to be a painter to think about creativity the way a painter does

-- learning to think about color, light, people & place and story will help you to generate beautiful ideas

-- thinking about these things can inspire and uplift our every-day-ness

You will not be required to produce any art during this event - but are welcome to bring notebooks, sketch-pads and anything else to help you capture your throughs.

Dan will share resources after the event with attendees.

You’ll walk away with at least one tangible action step to get started on whatever you discover.

Board Game Club: Blood on the Clocktower

First Tuesdays Board Game Club features Blood on the Clocktower: an award-winning social deduction game of murder and mystery, lies and logic, deduction and deception for up to fifteen daring players led by a devious storyteller. Each month we have food and drink on hand - but you're always welcome to bring your own - don't rely on us for your dinner. :) ‼️ Blood on the Clocktower can take *three* hours to run, so please don’t make other plans for your evening - your presence will be required for the entirety of the game. Pizza will be provided. ‼️ We encourage players to watch this 10 minute introduction video on the rules ahead of the event: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M-aZP47Nm9g ‼️ Even more info & play guides: BotC website https://bloodontheclocktower.com Each player receives either a ‘good’ or ‘evil’ token with their unique character and special ability on it. Good players share information to solve the mystery whilst evil players lie about who they are and what they know. The good team wins if they can piece together their knowledge, trust each other, and vote to execute the demon. The evil team wins if the demon can sow distrust, evade detection, and wipe out the village. Being dead doesn’t remove you from the game, you can still discuss with fellow players, win (or lose!) with your team, and have one final ‘ghost’ vote to use before the end of the game. Sometimes it’s actually useful to be dead rather than alive!

Shift Session #1 : Habits that stick

Welcome to Shift!

This is a space where we come together to explore books, ideas, and practices that create small but meaningful shifts in our lives. Whether it’s through health tips, financial insights, mindset tools, or spiritual practices like meditation, our goal is to learn from one another and share what’s worked for us—physically, emotionally, or spiritually.

Each meeting will center around a book (or another thought-provoking format) and include an activity to help apply those insights in real life. Think of this as a supportive space with room for accountability partners, progress tracking, and personal reflection to bring insights from written or spoken word to action.

We’ll kick off our first gathering with Atomic Habits: An Easy & Proven Way to Build Good Habits & Break Bad Ones by James Clear. We'll begin with introductions and share a book, podcast, or film that sparked a lasting shift in you, then ease into a group discussion of Atomic Habits. The book is just the starting point—whether you've read it or not, you're welcome. We believe everyone brings value to the conversation.

Somatic Relational Practices: Meeting the Self Through Other

What activates us is alive in us.

That zing of attraction? That flash of irritation? That feeling you can’t quite name when you're around certain people? It’s often a mirror—reflecting back parts of yourself you've forgotten, rejected, or turned away from. That collection of rejected Parts is also known as the Shadow. Working with (and playing with) them is the practice known as Shadow Work.

In this Inner Work Club circle, we’ll explore beginner-friendly somatic and group shadow work practices designed to help you meet those parts of yourself through relationship.

If journaling is the lecture, consider this the lab. Instead of looking inward in isolation, we’ll explore the unconscious through live, relational interaction. This is shadow work in motion—felt in your body, witnessed by others, and made visible in real-time dynamics.

This process invites you to...

✨ Drop into group awareness and feel the collective energy of the space
✨ Notice what gets stirred in you as others speak, listen, or look your way
✨ Gently explore projections, patterns, and protectors as they arise
✨ Practice staying rooted in yourself while being connected to others

This is not about being “good” at connection. It’s about staying curious about how you show up—what softens, what tightens, what longs to be seen.

This circle is especially supportive for those who...

✨ Feel sensitive or activated in group dynamics
✨ Crave deeper connection but find it hard to stay grounded while relating
✨ Want to feel seen, but often feel shy in social situations
✨ Are curious about how their unconscious patterns play out in real time or want tips / tools to work with them IRL
✨ Have big dreams to manifest, and want a safe, structured playground to work with limiting belief patterns

AGENDA (tentative):
Here’s what to expect during our 2-hour session:

🌀 Opening & Intros & Group Agreements – land in the space and gently connect with others
🌀 Guided Group Attunement Meditation – attune to body sensation, emotion, and the subtle group field
🌀 Somatic Relational Practice – break into small Authentic Relating / T-group inspired circles to explore what’s present in real-time relational dynamics. See and be seen by others, slowly and methodically
🌀 Community Reflection & Closing – share insights, integrate experiences, and ground before we part

No prior experience is necessary. Just bring a journal, something to write with, and your full, human self.

Guests and +1's of guests welcome and encouraged!

This event is for personal exploration and growth only. It is not therapy, medical care, or a substitute for mental health treatment. Ritual Club: Ancestral Alchemy - Plant Spirit & Drumming Journey

First Monday of every month

6:30-8:30pm

Cultivating connection, depth and sacred space through community ritual.

In our modern, hyper-independent world, we've lost sight of the crucial role that community witnessing and processing play in our overall sense of well-being and connectedness. Ritual is a sacred container where we come together to embrace the fullness of our human experience, cultivate authentic presence, and support each other's journey of self-discovery and transformation.

Each monthly gathering explores a specific theme related to personal growth, emotional healing, and spiritual awakening. Through a structured process of guided meditation, reflective prompts, and small group sharing, we create a safe, nurturing container for deep inner work and soul-nourishing connection.

Some of the core focus areas we explore include:

Navigating life's challenges and transitions with grace and resilience

Cultivating self-compassion, acceptance, and loving-kindness

Reconnecting with our inner wisdom, intuition, and authentic voice

Healing past wounds, ancestral patterns, traumas, and limiting beliefs

Awakening to our soul's purpose and unique gifts

Embodying mindfulness, presence, and conscious awareness

Fostering meaningful connections and a sense of belonging

Restoring connectedness with nature

In this supportive space, we have the opportunity to be seen, heard, and held in our full humanity. Through the power of community reflection and mirroring, we gain new insights, perspectives, and resources to support our ongoing growth and transformation.

Whether you're seeking greater self-understanding, emotional resilience, or spiritual alignment, Ritual offers a sanctuary for your soul. Here, you'll find a circle of kindred spirits who honor the sacredness in all of life and celebrate the beauty, complexity, and wisdom of the human journey.

All are welcome, regardless of background or belief. Come as you are, with a willingness to show up authentically, respect others and embrace the transformative power of sacred community ritual. Let's gather together to witness, process, and support each other's unfolding with compassion, curiosity, and open hearts.

From Idea to Identity: A Practical Journey for Tiny Startups (PART 1 OF 3)

Community Lunch

Interpersonal Club: Community Building in the Time of Suppression

Interpersonal Club is a space for members to explore, inquire, practice and deepen in understanding around the many types of relationships and connections in our lives. Through the exploration of interpersonal neurobiology, communication skills, relational resonance and coherence, co-regulation, empathy, emotional attunement, attachment, collective consciousness and more, we will grow our connections in real time and deepen our capacities for authentic and embodied relationships with our friends, partners, families, children, collaborators, and communities.

*A note about our club structure: Rather than centering consumption of content or replication of hierarchical group power structures, we will tend to center group process in Interpersonal Club, meaning that we will stay with the trouble of working/playing/exploring through any sticky or murky places that may come up as we learn to be in deeper community together.

DISCLAIMER: Interpersonal Club and its events and offerings are for enrichment only and are not a substitute for therapy, counseling, or mental health support groups.

About Jackie: Jackie is an Integrative Family and Relational Coach and is a relationally focused Occupational Therapist. She enjoys translating and applying macrocosmic concepts and principles to support client's lived experiences and embodied wisdom, all while remaining grounded in context and interdependence. Jackie works with people of all ages, guided by the vast and rich fields of interpersonal neurobiology, autonomic physiology, emergent strategy, sensory integration, panpsychism, dynamic systems theory, quantum theory, anthropology, and her boundless seeking heart.

Business Club (Connect + Collab)

Business Club is a monthly networking and peer mentoring opportunity for all professionals and creatives to connect, exchange ideas, and problem solve over their morning cuppa. The meetings are facilitated by Sophie Davies to ensure everyone has equal time to introduce themselves and ask for what they need. How it works: After introductions the group breaks out into smaller groups to allow everyone to share “an ask” through peer mentoring with your makeshift advisory board. “Your ask” can be a specific idea that you need feedback on or a challenge you need help with. This work-related inclusive club is for everyone who understands that while we tend to work individually, we regularly encounter the same work challenges and believe that collectively we are stronger when we support each other and figure things out together. These gatherings are limited to 20 people, so please commit to staying for the duration of the session.

From Idea to Identity: A Practical Journey for Tiny Startups (PART 1 OF 3)

From Idea to Identity is a 3-part workshop series designed to help aspiring founders, independent creators, and early-stage businesses move from inspiration to implementation. Whether you're just starting with a raw idea or ready to define your brand and launch, this series will give you the tools, structure, and support to move forward with clarity and confidence. Each session builds on the last, guiding you from initial concept through validation and into brand strategy — so you can bring your business to life, your way.

This workshop is designed for you if:

--You have an idea for a business, service, or project, but aren’t sure how to start.

--You want to move from ideas to action, with real tools you can apply immediately.

--You believe in your idea, but need a process to test and shape it before investing heavily.

--You want to build something small but meaningful — and set a strong foundation for future growth.

--You’re ready to invest time and focus into creating something real, even if it’s imperfect at first.

--You value learning practical skills that will serve you well beyond your first launch.

Grounded Conversations: De-Escalation and Feedback with Intention

Tough conversations are inevitable—but they do not have to spiral. This interactive session starts with the self, offering practical tools to stay grounded, de-escalate tense moments, and give or receive feedback with clarity and care. Come ready to learn, reflect, and practice skills you can use right away to strengthen relationships in real-life situations. Chris Hess and Andrea Prebys-Williams believe that feedback, when given with care and courage, can transform relationships and open doors to growth. They bring years of experience, a spirit of curiosity, and a deep belief in each person’s ability to communicate with greater honesty and heart. Their work has supported people in settings as varied as encampments of unhoused individuals, frontline service sites, and high-tension public meetings and protests. This 90-minute session is part of a larger two-day training series that Chris and Andrea offer to organizations, designed to build stronger leadership, deepen communication, and foster a culture of trust and collaboration.
