Run, Burger, Drink… repeat

Ok this time we’re making it way more of a casual run through the back of EP and ending up at Low Boy for some food and drink since it’s meant to also be fun - still deciding on if the run should be slightly earlier, happy to put it to a poll in the group chat!

Open "THAT" Bottle

For the wines you’re saving… but shouldn’t be.

You know that bottle. The one you’ve been saving for “someday.” The one with a story. The one you bring out when the people are right and the moment matters.

This event is for opening that bottle—on a Thursday, because life’s too short to save the good stuff for later.

Bonus points if your wine is from California, the state we love, maybe something small production, soulful, and never boring.

We will expect the story behind the wine: - who made it, where it came from, and why you've brought it.

A nudge to open it now, not someday.

5 on Friday

Log off and join in at 5 pm on Fridays. Each week we take the pulse to decide if we GTFO or stay in. No matter what we do, it's a fun way to hang out with your community before Friday night plans. Just show up as you are - we’ll handle the rest.

Shorties

We screen the shorts* that should've been features.
Then chat about it with a writer/filmmaker/comedian - and you.

We’re all about audience participation during the post-screening chat. Buut, if you just wanna listen, thats cool too!

~INDUSTRY GUEST~

Beat procrastination and creative blocks

You know that state of mind where you forget about time and space and become completely focused on whatever you’re working on? That's called the FLOW, and it feels great, but can be difficult to achieve consistently on your own. Through the power of mono-tasking, rituals, body doubling, and power breaks, we’ll reach the FLOW together, and you’ll be surprised by what you’ll have gotten done at the end of the day. So, how does it work? We’ll have a series of one-hour bursts of focused, mono-tasking work. Every burst will be separated by quick 10-minute breaks. After two bursts, we’ll have a longer break, where we’ll share a meal (remember to bring your own lunch) and socialize before diving into the last two bursts. Switching off notifications, focusing on a single task at a time, being surrounded by people doing the same, and not keeping track of time will help you reach the FLOW. Essentially, getting days' worth of work done in just five hours. Let's get those procrastinated tasks done and beat creative blocks TOGETHER! Here is what our session will look like: 10:00 - 10:10: introduction 10:10 - 11:10: first burst 11:10 - 11:20: short break 11:20 - 12:20: second burst 12:20 - 01:00: lunch break 01:00 - 02:00: third burst 02:00 - 02:10: short break 02:10 - 03:10: last burst 03:10 - 03:20: outro You are welcome to join for just one burst or stay for the entire session; we kindly ask that you enter or leave the room only during breaks to prevent distractions for other participants.

Transforming Pain into Power, Healing Our World

Join is for a grounding, soul nourishing experience. Join us to create the beloved community.

We will be honoring and allowing ourselves to feel our collective pain about what is happening in the world. When we allow ourselves to feel our pain, energy is freed up which can then be used to put our compassion into action.

During this sacred activism workshop, we will be practicing the world we want to see in the spaces between us. We will engage in Joanna Macy’s The Work That Reconnects, a form of group work designed to foster the desire and ability to take part in the healing of the world. In addition, we will be practicing nonviolent communication in order to have the skills to communicate with people whose views are different from our own.

According to civil rights leader Valarie Kaur, “Revolutions do not happen only in grand moments in public view but also in small pockets of people coming together to inhabit a new way of being. We birth the beloved community by becoming the beloved community.”

The Three Pillars of Over Beers Club:

Beer is unparalleled:
It is by far the most popular alcoholic beverage on the planet. No other beverage—tea, wine, spirits, or coffee—offers the sheer range of flavors, aromas, textures, and appearances that beer does. With the proper context, every beer you taste can be a testament to the infinite possibilities of brewing.

Beer creates space for connection:
No matter how revelatory a beer may be, its most important function is as a venue for social interaction.

The best way to get to know someone is to get them talking about what they love:
The things we watch, read, and listen to reveal who we are. Conversations about the things we are inspired by deepen connections and create a richer community.

How It Works:

Each session begins with a guided tasting, during which every member of the group is served the same beer. Together, we delve into the sample's aroma, flavor, and texture, as well as the process and ingredients that go into making it taste the way it does.

Next, every member shares a recommended thing to watch, read, or listen to with the group. This could be an excerpt from a book, a Substack post, a film, an album, a podcast—anything that sparks thought, joy, and inspiration. After each member has presented, the group votes on one thing to read, one thing to watch, and one thing to listen to ahead of the next meeting.

When the group reconvenes, discussions begin "over beers" with reflections on the previous meeting’s recommendations before we proceed to the day's tasting sessions and the presentation of new recommendations.

Why You Should Join:

Over Beers is about building a community where great beer, conversation, and people intersect. In challenging times, it's fortifying to linger on what inspires us. By sharing those things with others, we will create a space for curiosity and camaraderie. You will leave each meeting a more savvy beer drinker, equipped with new perspectives, some new compelling work to explore, and hopefully, some new friends.

Over Beers Club: Meeting #4

Please join us for our next session!

Bring a journal, tarot cards, or other items that help you with reflection. Want to bring a guest? Message Bex for the eventbrite link. Flow for the evening: 6:30 Arrive, enjoy tea, and settle in 6:45 Introductions 7:10 Grounding and guided meditation 7:20 Insights and discussions about the lunar phase 8:00 Play Time: reflect, chat, or pull cards 8:15 Closing circle

Board Game Club: Blood on the Clocktower

First Tuesdays Board Game Club features Blood on the Clocktower: an award-winning social deduction game of murder and mystery, lies and logic, deduction and deception for up to fifteen daring players led by a devious storyteller. Each month we have food and drink on hand - but you're always welcome to bring your own - don't rely on us for your dinner. :)

‼️ Blood on the Clocktower can take *three* hours to run, so please don’t make other plans for your evening - your presence will be required for the entirety of the game. Pizza will be provided.

‼️ We encourage players to watch this 10 minute introduction video on the rules ahead of the event: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M-aZP47Nm9g

‼️ Even more info & play guides: BotC website https://bloodontheclocktower.com

Each player receives either a ‘good’ or ‘evil’ token with their unique character and special ability on it. Good players share information to solve the mystery whilst evil players lie about who they are and what they know. The good team wins if they can piece together their knowledge, trust each other, and vote to execute the demon. The evil team wins if the demon can sow distrust, evade detection, and wipe out the village.

Being dead doesn’t remove you from the game, you can still discuss with fellow players, win (or lose!) with your team, and have one final ‘ghost’ vote to use before the end of the game. Sometimes it’s actually useful to be dead rather than alive!

Interpersonal Club: Community Building in the Time of Suppression

Interpersonal Club is a space for members to explore, inquire, practice and deepen in understanding around the many types of relationships and connections in our lives. Through the exploration of interpersonal neurobiology, communication skills, relational resonance and coherence, co-regulation, empathy, emotional attunement, attachment, collective consciousness and more, we will grow our connections in real time and deepen our capacities for authentic and embodied relationships with our friends, partners, families, children, collaborators, and communities.

*A note about our club structure: Rather than centering consumption of content or replication of hierarchical group power structures, we will tend to center group process in Interpersonal Club, meaning that we will stay with the trouble of working/playing/exploring through any sticky or murky places that may come up as we learn to be in deeper community together.

DISCLAIMER: Interpersonal Club and its events and offerings are for enrichment only and are not a substitute for therapy, counseling, or mental health support groups.

Community Lunch

Ritual Club

First Monday of every month

6:30-8:30pm

Cultivating connection, depth and sacred space through community ritual.

In our modern, hyper-independent world, we've lost sight of the crucial role that community witnessing and processing play in our overall sense of well-being and connectedness. Ritual is a sacred container where we come together to embrace the fullness of our human experience, cultivate authentic presence, and support each other's journey of self-discovery and transformation.

Each monthly gathering explores a specific theme related to personal growth, emotional healing, and spiritual awakening. Through a structured process of guided meditation, reflective prompts, and small group sharing, we create a safe, nurturing container for deep inner work and soul-nourishing connection.

Some of the core focus areas we explore include:

Navigating life's challenges and transitions with grace and resilience

Cultivating self-compassion, acceptance, and loving-kindness

Reconnecting with our inner wisdom, intuition, and authentic voice

Healing past wounds, ancestral patterns, traumas, and limiting beliefs

Awakening to our soul's purpose and unique gifts

Embodying mindfulness, presence, and conscious awareness

Fostering meaningful connections and a sense of belonging

Restoring connectedness with nature

In this supportive space, we have the opportunity to be seen, heard, and held in our full humanity. Through the power of community reflection and mirroring, we gain new insights, perspectives, and resources to support our ongoing growth and transformation.

Whether you're seeking greater self-understanding, emotional resilience, or spiritual alignment, Ritual offers a sanctuary for your soul. Here, you'll find a circle of kindred spirits who honor the sacredness in all of life and celebrate the beauty, complexity, and wisdom of the human journey.

All are welcome, regardless of background or belief. Come as you are, with a willingness to show up authentically, respect others and embrace the transformative power of sacred community ritual. Let's gather together to witness, process, and support each other's unfolding with compassion, curiosity, and open hearts.
