Ultimate Werewolf Board Game Night

Join the Los Angeles Ultimate Werewolf Game Meetup Group for a fun-filled evening of social deduction games!
Ultimate Werewolf is an interactive game (part card game/part board game-similar to Mafia if you've ever played that) of deduction for two teams: the village team and the wolf team. Players on the village team don't know who the wolves are, and the wolves are trying to remain undiscovered while they slowly eliminate players on the village team one at a time. Each player receives a card with their role at the beginning. If it sounds confusing, everything will be walked through at the beginning.
Whether you're a seasoned werewolf player or completely new to the game, this event is perfect for making new friends and testing your wits against others in a thrilling game of deception.
Bring your best strategies and alliances as you navigate through the hidden identities and attempt to uncover the werewolves among us.
Not only will you have the chance to play Werewolf, but you'll also have the opportunity to socialize with fellow game enthusiasts in a welcoming and friendly environment. So come out, sharpen your skills, and enjoy a night of engaging gameplay and laughter with the Los Angeles Werewolf Meetup
Group.

Sip, Reflect & Connect

Sip, Reflect & Connect 🍷

= a casual gathering to slow down, do some inner exploration and be in community. Heavy topics are more approachable when we're surrounded by support, calm the nervous system, and learn practical ways to deal— a glass of wine or tea also helps ;) Each month we'll go through a different topic, and for this one... part 2 of dating stress: attachment styles and self-worth 💗

We’ll take a deeper look at how attachment styles unconsciously shape our dating experiences—from expectations and emotional reactions, to how we interpret communication and connection. Insecure attachment is often linked to low self-worth, but the good news is that attachment styles aren't fixed. We'll explore ways to work towards a secure attachment, deepen self-love, and how to stay grounded in dating despite your attachment style.

Because nothing says Valentine-season like spiraling over being left on 'read receipts' after swearing you don't care 😅

What to expect:
📖 Psychoeducation & therapy tools
📝 Guided journaling
💞 Community connection (sharing is optional, not required!)

Life-Changing Mantras

The words we tell ourselves truly shape our reality. Three and a half years ago, I got the job I wanted—but not in the way I imagined. I lost myself in that process, hitting a low point. I kept hearing how the words we use can transform our lives—so I tried it. I was desperate. I began with two simple lines: “I have all the time in the world” and “I have all the energy in the world.” I replaced every limiting thought with these new mantras, and over time, those two lines grew into over 50.

I’ve been practicing my own cognitive behavioral therapy for over two years—writing, saying, and listening to my mantra. Now, I’ve found freedom. I work about 10 hours a week overseeing my preschool program , I’ve published 5 children’s books, and have other projects I’m working on.

At this event, I’ll share each line of my mantra and why I carefully chose each word. I’ll also talk about phrases to avoid—I’ll explain one mantra that went terribly wrong and what I learned. We’ll work together on your own mantras, and by the end, we’ll share what resonates. Let’s help each other reshape our lives—one powerful word at a time.

Camino (pronounced Kah-Mee-Noh) is a Spanish word meaning “path” or “way.”

You don’t have to know exactly where your path leads, just trust that you’ll learn what you need along the way. Wherever you are headed, we wish you, as they say in Oviedo, “buen camino.” May you have a safe and meaningful journey.

Salon 42 SF

We meet to collaboratively explore ideas from art to science to philosophy to learn about the topic and each other.

Our intent is to create a free, inclusive, and friendly space for connection and community based on ideas, in an environment that prioritizes listening and openness to a wide range of perspectives.

How does it work?
We choose a topic, share optional resources (video/articles/podcasts, etc.) and discussion questions in advance to establish a shared context, and then have a lightly moderated discussion along with potluck-style drinks and snacks. Expect some time to socialize before and after the official discussion.

Influence and impact Salon

A curated morning for senior women leaders — founders, executives, rule-breakers. Includes: Coffee, tea, and a light breakfast spread (pastries, quiche, fruit). We’ll settle in over bites, then dive into a panel discussion with women leading differently: Amanda Todd (Senior Director, Temporal), Mariane Bekker (Founders Bay), Aytakin Aliyeva (Femigrants Foundation), and more. The panel opens into salon-style conversation — the whole room, thinking together. Then smaller group discussions designed to spark real connection, not small talk. Surprises woven throughout. You’ll leave with new ideas, new relationships, and probably a few “where have you been all my life” moments. So excited to bring this event and conversation to Groundfloor!

The AI Identity Crisis: Discovering Your ‘Self’ as the Designer

The Groundfloor Speaker Series is honored to host Joel Kimmel, world-class coach, acclaimed author, combat veteran, and powerhouse in the art of language and leadership. He has guided everyone from Fortune 500 execs to world leaders and changemakers. He will shift how you see work, life, and what is truly possible. When Joel speaks, people listen. We’re unbelievably lucky to have him. Don’t miss the chance to be in the room.

About the Workshop

AI is changing how we think, decide, and create. What most people miss is that it is also changing how we see ourselves. This interactive workshop helps you step out of autopilot and become the designer of your relationship with AI. Through guided reflection and conversation, you will look at how AI is already shaping your work, choices, and sense of possibility. You will explore what it gives you, what it costs, and what only you can bring that no machine can replace.

We will use simple distinctions, such as being versus doing and searching versus discovering, to help you stay grounded, clear, and human in a rapidly changing world.

This is not a demo. It is a conversation about how to use AI without losing yourself in it.

About Joel

Joel Kimmel is the author of SELF: The Vast World Behind Your Words and a leading voice in the field of ontology—the study of Being and how language shapes our reality. A combat veteran, world-class athlete, and recipient of the Presidential Call to Service Award, Joel brings profound insight to his work, having quite literally faced death twice and returned with a deeper understanding of life’s unfolding.

With decades of experience coaching everyone from executives to inner-city youth, Joel’s work blends communication, identity, and leadership. His clients include Shell Oil, US Bank, Charles Schwab Foundation, and the US Department of Training and Development. Whether guiding personal transformation or designing organizational strategy, Joel’s promise is simple: more awareness, more creativity, and more authentic connection—with yourself and others.

The Lab

Welcome to “The Lab” — focused work time: together!

Work on your own projects with community support.

We begin each Lab with a quick round of intros. Each member will set goals for their work time. You can ask for assistance from the group if you need help with an idea or run your ideas past the group etc.

Then, get working on your stated goals - your will have the energy, accountability, and quiet buzz of everyone else doing it together.

At the end, we circle back to share how it went, celebrate wins, and wrap up the morning. You did it!

The Lab is simple: show up, set your goals, get your work done, and cheer each other on.

It’s amazing how much more you can do when you’re working separately — but together.

Book Club - Children of Ash and Elm [nonfiction!]

Our February book is a deep history of the Vikings (a nonfiction pivot for book club!). Note: you do not need to have finished any book to come to book club! We will no doubt spiral into related topics quickly.

The Viking Age - between 750 and 1050 - saw an unprecedented expansion of the Scandinavian peoples. As traders and raiders, explorers and colonists, they reshaped the world between eastern North America and the Asian steppe. For a millennium, though, their history has largely been filtered through the writings of their victims. Based on the latest archaeological and textual evidence, Children of Ash and Elm tells the story of the Vikings on their own terms: their politics, their cosmology, their art and culture. From Björn Ironside, who led an expedition to sack Rome, to Gudrid Thorbjarnardóttir, the most travelled woman in the world, Price shows us the real Vikings, not the caricatures they have become in popular culture and history.
