2025 Vision Board Party

As we’ve collectively been navigating a tough start to the year, let’s come together to reignite hope and inspiration for the year ahead. Join me for a 2025 Vision Board Party, where we’ll create meaningful, empowering visions for our future. I’ll guide you step-by-step in crafting your unique vision board—whether you prefer a physical or digital approach: - Physical Vision Boards: Bring your own materials (poster board, magazines, cut-outs, glue, markers, etc.). - Digital Vision Boards: Use your tablet or laptop, and I’ll share a Canva template I designed to turn your vision into a daily reminder—perfect as a phone wallpaper or desktop background! This 3-hour event will include a guided introduction, plenty of time to create your vision board, and an optional sharing session to inspire each other as we set our intentions for 2025. We’ll set the tone with an uplifting environment featuring music and positive vibes. Feel free to bring your favorite drinks and treats to share with the group. Let’s spark creativity, hope & excitement as we set our intentional visions for 2025!

Beat Procrastination and Creative Blocks

You know that state of mind where you forget about time and space and become completely focused on whatever you’re working on? That's called the FLOW, and it feels great but can be difficult to achieve consistently on your own. Through the power of mono-tasking, rituals, body doubling, and power breaks, we’ll reach the FLOW together, and you’ll be surprised by what you’ll have gotten done at the end of the day. So how does it work? We’ll have a series of 50-minute bursts of focused, mono-tasking work. Every burst will be separated by quick 10-minute breaks. After 2 bursts, we’ll have a longer break, where we’ll share a meal (remember to bring your own lunch) and socialize before diving into the last two bursts. Switching off notifications, focusing on a single task at a time, being surrounded by people doing the same, and not keeping track of time will help you reach the FLOW. Essentially, getting days' worth of work done in just five hours. Let's get those procrastinated tasks done and beat creative blocks TOGETHER! Here is what our session will look like: 10:30 - 10:45: introduction 10:45 - 11:35: first rush 10:35 - 10:45: short break 11:45 - 12:35: second rush 12:35 - 01:05: lunch break 01:05 - 01:55: third rush 01:55 - 02:05: short break 02:05 - 02:55: last rush 02:55 - 03:10: outro You are welcome to join for just one rush or stay for the whole session; we just ask you to enter or leave the room only during breaks to prevent distraction for the other participants.

First Friday Happy Hour: Wine Club Takeover!

Have you ever noticed how the best conversations always seem to happen over a good bottle of wine? For 10 months we've been crafting quite a thing over at our monthly wine club, and we'd like to include you all in our wine-world. Once a month we meet, sample wines, have a lot of laughs, and most importantly, we are building community. It warms my heart as I watch people hug on the way in and kiss on the way out, plan outings together, talk about things unrelated to wine, and just generally have a great time. Truly it's a special evening, and best of all, it's never the same. Your cruise director is diligently working on a calendar of events that is fun yet different each and every time. :) So we are bringing that wine club feeling to the first Friday happy hour with some of the wines we've tasted at wine club - we'll have some of our favorite reds, whites and bubbles on hand for you to enjoy, and we encourage everyone who attends to ALSO bring their favorite wines because well, there can never be too much wine! No experience necessary! Light snacks and non-alcoholic beverages will be provided by Groundfloor - thanks Groundfloor!

BGC: Blood on the Clocktower Custom Script

Blood on the Clocktower is an award-winning social deduction game of murder and mystery, lies and logic, deduction and deception for up to fifteen daring players led by a devious storyteller. We will be playing a custom-but-beginners-friendly script! We will have pizza - BYOB! ‼️ Blood on the Clocktower can take *three* hours to run, so please don’t make other plans for your evening - your presence will be required for the entirety of the game. Pizza will be provided. ‼️ We encourage players to watch this 10 minute introduction video on the rules ahead of the event: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M-aZP47Nm9g ‼️ Even more info & play guides: BotC website https://bloodontheclocktower.com Each player receives either a ‘good’ or ‘evil’ token with their unique character and special ability on it. Good players share information to solve the mystery whilst evil players lie about who they are and what they know. The good team wins if they can piece together their knowledge, trust each other, and vote to execute the demon. The evil team wins if the demon can sow distrust, evade detection, and wipe out the village. Being dead doesn’t remove you from the game, you can still discuss with fellow players, win (or lose!) with your team, and have one final ‘ghost’ vote to use before the end of the game. Sometimes it’s actually useful to be dead rather than alive!

Join us for the exciting launch of a new donation drive for Simply the Basics, a nonprofit organization and the first ever national hygiene bank, dedicated to providing hygiene essentials to those in need. We’re calling on members to bring new, unused, and unexpired personal care items—think toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, soap, period care, socks and more—to donate in clearly marked bins at Groundfloor Club locations through March. Every item collected will go directly to those who need it most. During this event there will be a guided discussion with Groundfloor member and Deputy Director of Simply the Basics, Brittany Horwich, who will share the organization’s mission, impact, and how you can help make a difference. Refreshments will be provided. Please bring one item to donate! Learn more about Simply the Basics at their website (https://www.simplythebasics.org/), on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/SimplyTheBasics) or Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/simplythebasics) About the Community Action Club Groundfloor Club is for people who want to work and socialize with people in their neighborhood. That’s why we’re committed to contributing positively to the local communities where we meet. Community Action Club is a space where members can explore their interests in volunteerism and community service together.

AI Salon: Labor

Join us for tea and an intimate Sunday salon on AI's profound impact on labor. Labor is a nexus of migration, culture, globalization, poverty, human rights and politics. We'll examine scenarios ranging from the near future to centuries ahead. For this event we’d love to bring together a myriad of voices: economists, AI researchers, displaced professionals, labor organizers, gig economy workers, employers and those just generally interested in the topic. Will technological evolution lead us to one-person “unicorn” companies or techno-feudalism? This salon will be talking about the socio-technical impacts of AI on labor — some folks having technical expertise is great but don’t feel discouraged to join if you don’t :) Please try to be no more than 20-25 minutes late as we want to keep a smooth flow of discussion

Authentic Relating Connection Game Night

Connection games allow us to grow and have fun in a relaxed and inclusive environment with others. What do we mean by connection? Connection is a feeling that goes beyond communication skills or active listening. It comes from sharing our authentic selves and developing our capacity for sensing and feeling more deeply. This creates the foundation for how we relate to others, and can form greater connections. Our capacity to feel and sense is something that can grow with practice, and the connection games we will be playing provide an engaging way to develop these abilities. In recent years, authentic relating has emerged as one of the most practical and direct ways to connect with others in a group setting. Let's explore this practice, go deep and have fun together! a. First 15 mins is arrival and mingle time. b. 90 mins of structured Authentic Relating exercises and practices within the group or rotating 1:1 pairs. We will demonstrate how to do this and set you people off to practice each round with our support! c. Last 30 mins for debrief and informal discussions.

Rumi’s Field

This is an empowering circle for people seeking and exploring their inner lives within a supportive group. The inspiration for this group will be from the profound wisdom of the poet and mystic Rumi, where we gather together outside of right and wrong and explore our inner world.  If you are in a career-life transition, this group will help ignite inner awareness and reflection. Each month will be a new topic. This month's topic will be New Beginnings! I will spark our gathering with a select poem or creative writing to explore your internal world. Poets and writers can make the invisible visible by transforming abstract emotions, thoughts, and experiences into tangible expressions through language. They illuminate the unseen corners of the human experience—our inner fears, dreams, and desires—by giving them shape and meaning. There will be space to go within through meditation, journaling, and sharing. In our busy, 24/7 connected world, this is an opportunity to slow down and connect with our internal world and wisdom together. It is an opportunity to build both your internal and external connections.  It will be led by Michelle M. Olsen, a Career-Life Purpose Coach who has been coaching and facilitating groups for almost two decades and is driven by the idea that a more sane and compassionate world is possible, and it starts within. Non-GF members: $25 (venmo @michelle-Olsen)

Conversaciones

If you have been wanting an opportunity to brush up your Spanish through conversation with other non native Spanish speakers this club is a great space! This is not a class and the idea is to practice the language in groups. All levels are welcome. ¡Hasta luego!

Interpersonal Cub: NVC Empathy Practice Circle

To celebrate love month, Interpersonal Club will be continuing our Intro to NVC (Nonviolent Communication) with an Empathy Practice Circle. Come learn about and practice giving and receiving around empathy, needs, and connection, both to self and other. Explore communication that does not cause harm! Revel in our shared capacity to create new modes of being in relationship! Practice in a supportive environment. You need not have attended the last NVC Intro meeting to attend this one! We will be practicing listening to another and gently leaning into empathy through exploring underlying feelings and needs, while being supported to identify our own. Greater fluency can support greater understanding and connection. Interpersonal Club is a space for members to explore, inquire, practice and deepen in understanding around the many types of relationships and connections in our lives. Through the exploration of interpersonal neurobiology, communication skills, relational resonance and coherence, co-regulation, empathy, emotional attunement, attachment, collective consciousness and more, we will grow our connections in real time and deepen our capacities for authentic and embodied relationships with our friends, partners, families, children, collaborators, and communities. *A note about our club structure: Rather than centering consumption of content or replication of hierarchical group power structures, we will tend to center group process in Interpersonal Club, meaning that we will stay with the trouble of working/playing/exploring through any sticky or murky places that may come up as we learn to be in deeper community together. DISCLAIMER: Interpersonal Club and its events and offerings are for enrichment only and are not a substitute for therapy, counseling, or mental health support groups. About Jackie: Jackie is an Integrative Family and Relational Coach and is a relationally focused Occupational Therapist. She enjoys translating and applying macrocosmic concepts and principles to support client's lived experiences and embodied wisdom, all while remaining grounded in context and interdependence. Jackie works with people of all ages, guided by the vast and rich fields of interpersonal neurobiology, autonomic physiology, emergent strategy, sensory integration, panpsychism, dynamic systems theory, quantum theory, anthropology, and her boundless seeking heart.

Biohacking Club

Join Martin, an avid biohacker for many years, as he leads a monthly exploration into the cutting-edge world of biohacking. Martin's journey began with a simple curiosity about how to optimize his own health and has since evolved into a passion for uncovering the secrets of the human body. Each month, he shares his discoveries and experiments, from nootropics and fasting protocols to advanced wearable technology. This group is more than just a meeting; it's a community of like-minded individuals dedicated to pushing the boundaries of what's possible with their bodies and minds. Whether you're a seasoned biohacker or just starting to explore the possibilities, Martin's insights and guidance will open the door to a new level of personal optimization. Biohacking is about taking control of your own biology. It's a broad and fascinating field that intersects with disciplines such as nutrition, physiology, genetics, and technology. At its core, biohacking involves experimenting with lifestyle and environmental changes to make precise, targeted improvements to your health and well-being. This approach is as diverse as the individuals it attracts, ranging from tech enthusiasts exploring the latest gadgets to improve sleep quality, to fitness lovers using cutting-edge science to enhance physical performance, and curious minds seeking to extend their lifespan through genetic editing and regenerative medicine. Our monthly group dives into these topics and more, providing a supportive and stimulating environment for everyone from the curious newcomer to the advanced practitioner. Together, we explore the art and science of biohacking, sharing knowledge, experiences, and experiments in our quest to become the best versions of ourselves.
