Beat Procrastination and Creative Blocks

You know that state of mind where you forget about time and space and become completely focused on whatever you’re working on? That's called the FLOW, and it feels great but can be difficult to achieve consistently on your own. Through the power of mono-tasking, rituals, body doubling, and power breaks, we’ll reach the FLOW together, and you’ll be surprised by what you’ll have gotten done at the end of the day. So how does it work? We’ll have a series of 50-minute bursts of focused, mono-tasking work. Every burst will be separated by quick 10-minute breaks. After 2 bursts, we’ll have a longer break, where we’ll share a meal (remember to bring your own lunch) and socialize before diving into the last two bursts. Switching off notifications, focusing on a single task at a time, being surrounded by people doing the same, and not keeping track of time will help you reach the FLOW. Essentially, getting days' worth of work done in just four hours. Let's get those procrastinated tasks done and beat creative blocks TOGETHER! Here is what our session will look like: 10:30 - 10:45: introduction 10:45 - 11:35: first rush 11:35 - 11:45: short break 11:45 - 12:35: second rush 12:35 - 01:05: lunch break 01:05 - 01:55: third rush 01:55 - 02:05: short break 02:05 - 02:55: last rush 02:55 - 03:10: outro You are welcome to join for just one rush or stay for the whole session; we just ask you to enter or leave the room only during breaks to prevent distraction for the other participants.

GTFO: January Hike

Our New Years hike sadly got rained out, so rescheduling what I'm hoping will be a monthly hike for later in January. Let's hope the weather is nice for us! 🤞🏻

When: January 24, 2026 at 10:00 AM
Where: Griffith Park Merry-Go-Round Lot 1 Parking Lot

We’ll do a light hike for about 2 hours at an easy, conversational pace. Please plan to arrive on time so we can start together and not leave anyone behind. There are a few lots by the merry-go-round, so let's all park in Lot 1. There isn't numbered lot signage, but if you put "Griffith Park Merry Go Round Lot One" in Waze, it should take you to the right place. Bring water, wear sunscreen, and feel free to pack snacks if you’d like.

If you have any questions, just let me know. Looking forward to hiking with you!!

Women’s Soul Care Community

BEGIN Circles is a women’s Soul Care community rooted in healing, alignment, and intentional becoming. We create sacred spaces where women slow down, reconnect with God, and tend to their inner life before moving into action.

Our community is grounded in five core pillars:

🏗️ BUILD rhythms of grace
💪🏼 EMPOWER each other
📚 GROW in wisdom
💛 IMPACT our community
🌳 NURTURE spirit, soul, and body

✨ Dream Vision Rhythm
A Soul Care Addition
Becoming aligned before becoming busy

Dream Vision Rhythm is a sacred pause to begin the year with God and community.

This gathering creates space to slow down and breathe.
To reflect on the season you are coming from.
To align your heart with God before making plans.
To listen for what God is shaping within you.
To rest in His presence as vision begins to form.

During our time together, I will gently coach you through Soul Care activations designed to awaken your spirit, soul, and body. These practices are intentionally paced and prayerful, creating space for reflection, embodiment, and attentive listening as God brings alignment from the inside out.

We begin with becoming rather than outcomes.

This is a gentle, reflective space where vision is held with care.
Where identity comes before direction.
Where clarity is allowed to unfold in its own time.

You are invited to reflect, align, listen, and rest.

We will invite God first.
We will honor the pace of the soul.
We will begin the year rooted, attentive, and open.

A Soul Care gathering for those longing to begin with purpose

Join the Los Angeles Ultimate Werewolf Game Meetup Group for a fun-filled evening of social deduction games!
Ultimate Werewolf is an interactive game (part card game/part board game-similar to Mafia if you've ever played that) of deduction for two teams: the village team and the wolf team. Players on the village team don't know who the wolves are, and the wolves are trying to remain undiscovered while they slowly eliminate players on the village team one at a time. Each player receives a card with their role at the beginning. If it sounds confusing, everything will be walked through at the beginning.
Whether you're a seasoned werewolf player or completely new to the game, this event is perfect for making new friends and testing your wits against others in a thrilling game of deception.
Bring your best strategies and alliances as you navigate through the hidden identities and attempt to uncover the werewolves among us.

Sip, Reflect & Connect

Sip, Reflect & Connect 🍷

= a casual gathering to slow down, do some inner exploration and be in community. Heavy topics are more approachable when we're surrounded by support, calm the nervous system, and learn practical ways to deal— a glass of wine or tea also helps ;) Each month we'll go through a different topic, and to kick things off... dating stress 🫠

Modern dating is equal parts connection, jadedness, and overanalyzing that three-word text. It's somehow become deeply personal and weirdly impersonal at the same time. We’ll unpack the difficult emotions that come with dating, the spirals and second-guessing, and how to cultivate deep self-worth while navigating the dating world-- all with a beverage in hand and nonjudgmental space. (Stay tuned for a future part 2, where we'll go through attachment styles!).

What to expect:
📖 Psychoeducation & practical tools
📝 Guided journaling
💞 Community connection (sharing is optional, not required!)
🍵 Natural wine & ayurvedic tea

Suggested donation $7 to cover materials

Board Game Club: Blood on the Clocktower

First Tuesdays Board Game Club features Blood on the Clocktower: an award-winning social deduction game of murder and mystery, lies and logic, deduction and deception for up to fifteen daring players led by a devious storyteller. Each month we have food and drink on hand - but you're always welcome to bring your own - don't rely on us for your dinner. :)

‼️ Blood on the Clocktower can take *three* hours to run, so please don’t make other plans for your evening - your presence will be required for the entirety of the game. Pizza will be provided.
‼️ We encourage players to watch this 10 minute introduction video on the rules ahead of the event: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M-aZP47Nm9g
‼️ Even more info & play guides: BotC website https://bloodontheclocktower.com

Each player receives either a ‘good’ or ‘evil’ token with their unique character and special ability on it. Good players share information to solve the mystery whilst evil players lie about who they are and what they know. The good team wins if they can piece together their knowledge, trust each other, and vote to execute the demon. The evil team wins if the demon can sow distrust, evade detection, and wipe out the village.

Being dead doesn’t remove you from the game, you can still discuss with fellow players, win (or lose!) with your team, and have one final ‘ghost’ vote to use before the end of the game. Sometimes it’s actually useful to be dead rather than alive!

Book Club - Heart the Lover

Our January read is a propulsive and relatively short (like, read all in one rainy day kind of book) book about first love and adulthood that will linger with you long after you finish. Can't wait to discuss it with you all.

In the fall of her senior year of college, our narrator meets two star students from her 17th-Century Lit class: Sam and Yash. Best friends living off-campus in the elegant house of a professor on sabbatical, the boys invite her into their intoxicating world of academic fervor, rapid-fire banter and raucous card games. They nickname her Jordan, and she quickly discovers the pleasures of friendship, love and her own intellectual ambition. Youthful passion is unpredictable though, and she soon finds herself at the center of a charged and intricate triangle. As graduation comes and goes, choices made will alter these three lives forever.

Decades later, Jordan is living the life she dreamed of, and the vulnerable days of her youth seem comfortably behind her. But when a surprise visit and unexpected news brings the past crashing into the present, Jordan returns to a world she left behind and is forced to confront the decisions and deceptions of her younger self.

The Lab

Welcome to “The Lab” — focused work time: together!

Work on your own projects with community support.

We begin each Lab with a quick round of intros. Each member will set goals for their work time. You can ask for assistance from the group if you need help with an idea or run your ideas past the group etc.

Then, get working on your stated goals - your will have the energy, accountability, and quiet buzz of everyone else doing it together.

At the end, we circle back to share how it went, celebrate wins, and wrap up the morning. You did it!

The Lab is simple: show up, set your goals, get your work done, and cheer each other on.

It’s amazing how much more you can do when you’re working separately — but together.

Clarity with AI: Reimagining your Workflow

Clarity with AI: Reimagining Your Workflow is a hands-on workshop designed to help you discover practical, meaningful ways to incorporate AI into your everyday work. We’ll begin by sharing a real example of how AI has streamlined a task in our own workflow, then break into small groups to brainstorm one task you could automate or enhance using AI. You’ll explore possibilities, exchange ideas, and walk away with a clear, personalized starting point for applying AI tools with intention and impact. This session is all about gaining clarity, sparking creativity, and reimagining how you work.

Warmth in Winter: Community Connection Circle

Winter can be both tender and isolating. This month’s Inner Work Club is a simple, cozy return to what regulates us most: being witnessed, being real, and being together.

Warmth in Winter is a contained community sharing circle with warm bevvies, light snacks, and spacious, low-pressure connection. No fixing, no coaching—just a grounded, gently held container where you can share what’s present for you (or simply listen), and leave feeling a little more resourced.

What to expect:

🕯️ A welcoming opening and simple grounding to arrive
🕯️ A guided, structured sharing circle (opt-in and pass-friendly)
🕯️ Warm beverages + snacks
🕯️ Closing integration so you leave feeling steady and connected

This is for you if you’re craving....

🕯️ Community that feels calm and emotionally safe
🕯️ A place to be honest without performing
🕯️ Gentle connection in the darker season
🕯️ A “nervous system exhale” kind of evening

Come as you are. You’re welcome to share, listen, or do a mix of both. This is a respectful, confidential space with clear boundaries and a warm tone.

The AI Identity Crisis: Discovering Your ‘Self’ as the Designer

The Groundfloor Speaker Series is honored to host Joel Kimmel, world-class coach, acclaimed author, combat veteran, and powerhouse in the art of language and leadership. He has guided everyone from Fortune 500 execs to world leaders and changemakers. He will shift how you see work, life, and what is truly possible. When Joel speaks, people listen. We’re unbelievably lucky to have him. Don’t miss the chance to be in the room.

About the Workshop
AI is changing how we think, decide, and create. What most people miss is that it is also changing how we see ourselves. This interactive workshop helps you step out of autopilot and become the designer of your relationship with AI. Through guided reflection and conversation, you will look at how AI is already shaping your work, choices, and sense of possibility. You will explore what it gives you, what it costs, and what only you can bring that no machine can replace.

We will use simple distinctions, such as being versus doing and searching versus discovering, to help you stay grounded, clear, and human in a rapidly changing world.

This is not a demo. It is a conversation about how to use AI without losing yourself in it.

About Joel
Joel Kimmel is the author of SELF: The Vast World Behind Your Words and a leading voice in the field of ontology—the study of Being and how language shapes our reality. A combat veteran, world-class athlete, and recipient of the Presidential Call to Service Award, Joel brings profound insight to his work, having quite literally faced death twice and returned with a deeper understanding of life’s unfolding.
With decades of experience coaching everyone from executives to inner-city youth, Joel’s work blends communication, identity, and leadership. His clients include Shell Oil, US Bank, Charles Schwab Foundation, and the US Department of Training and Development. Whether guiding personal transformation or designing organizational strategy, Joel’s promise is simple: more awareness, more creativity, and more authentic connection—with yourself and others.
